Please donate to our Student Scholarship Foundation.
Hello, we are Dan and Kathy Granite. We opened Freedom of Choice Student Center Homeschool in Oceanside, California one year ago. Dan is a retired school administrator and Kathy is a school counselor who lost her job due to Covid mandates. We felt it was our duty to America, our community, and our future leaders to create a mandate and social justice-free school to protect our children, our country, and our way of life. The straw that broke the camel’s back for us, was when the governor of California vowed to mandate the so-called vaccine for children as young as five years old. We believe in Freedom of Choice!
We are a nonprofit corporation that is not affiliated with any school district. We are the teachers for homeschooling parents who for one reason or another can’t homeschool their children but want their kids out of the public school system. Our school operates Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm for grades Pre-K-12. We offer a Classical Education and provide all of the curriculum and resources that are vetted through the Christian Bookstore. We are not faith-based but we teach and stress Judeo/Christian values, morality, and civic virtue. We say the Pledge of Allegiance together every day as a school and many of our parents remain at school to say the Pledge with us and their children. Our curriculum includes history, math, science, and English/literature, with art incorporated throughout the content areas. The American Story is a great one and must be told and studied. The Story that is being told in schools today is shameful and divisive.
We need your support! Because we are a private nonprofit, all of our funding comes from tuition and private donations for student scholarships. Our tuition is $8,000 per year for Pre-K-grade 5 and $9,000 per year for grades 6 through 12. We are asking for your financial support to ensure that we can continue to provide a Classical Education to families who believe that we live in the greatest country on God’s Green Earth and the freedoms and liberties granted to us in the Constitution of the United States. At Freedom of Choice, we teach our students how to think not what to think. America needs critical thinkers, which is what we, as a school community, are creating. All of our students also receive complete school counseling services which include: academic planning and support, college and career readiness, and most importantly in today’s world, social-emotional development support.
The Freedom of Choice Student Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit public benefit corporation. Please help us reach and teach as many young minds as possible to produce a generation of patriotic critical thinkers. Will you please be a sponsor? All donations are welcome. With your donation, we will honor you in our newsletter and add your name to our “Wall of Fame” in our lobby. Thank you and God Bless You!
